Melissa Alden served the Town of Yarmouth as a police officer for eleven years. She proudly assisted on special units such as the PAC Unit (proactive anti-crime) and Mental Health Team which assisted individuals suffering from substance use disorder, mental health, and dual diagnosis. In addition to being a single mother and a police officer, Melissa obtained her law degree and passed the Massachusetts Bar in 2009. She transitioned into practicing law full-time in 2017 focusing on Family Law, Mental Health, and Guardianship Cases. A strong advocate for public service she has volunteered her time for various agencies such as Independence House, Yarmouth Food Pantry, Special Olympics, and the Elder Abuse Coalition. She is the proud mother of Brady and Izzy.
