I am grateful for every day I wake up sober. I am grateful to be 6 years sober and have a life I thought I could only dream of. During my 15 year battle with addiction, I caused so much pain to my loved ones. I am grateful that I am sober and I am able to make not only myself proud, but my loved ones proud. They sleep easy knowing I am healthy and safe, something my parents especially were unable to do for way too many years. Today I am a son, grandson, husband, step father, a friend, I am here today, still reaching my goals and growing as a person.
