11/22 Michael Jeffrey Brown – followed by Open Meeting
In July of 2017 I was sentenced to prison. I was looking at what felt like a lifetime. I was in a miserable state of mind and depression was destroying me. My entire family was disappointed. I felt completely alone. I had allowed my addiction to take complete control of my life. The impact was devastating and I almost gave up.
A little less than a year later I made the decision that would change my life forever. Until this point I was still lost and felt like my life had no purpose. On July 4, 2018 I made a devotion to never use drugs again. I knew I wanted to change, that I needed to change, and that could change.
Today, I have 1,209 days free from my addiction. I’ve completed this by taking life one day at a time and focusing on what is happening now as to the past or the future. Just yesterday I was interviewed by a company called Returning Youth. This company’s mission is to help young adults being released from prison to be motivated to be successful. I was honored for this opportunity and on Friday it will be on air for everyone to see. I’ll be sure to post the link to their YouTube channel for everyone who’s interested to watch.
