On this #GivingTuesday, we reflect on all the miracles we’ve witnessed over the past year.

Thanks largely in part to supporters like you, Parents Supporting Parents was able to provide sober living scholarships to over 250+ individuals as they began their recovery journey. This success would not have been possible without the support of our community, and we are incredibly grateful.

Today, we ask for your support again. Though 250 scholarships is no small feat – there is still a large need on Cape Cod.

Our PSP Scholarship fund covers the first two weeks of an individual’s stay in a certified recovery home. This allows the individual to focus on getting acclimated to a new life without the need for substances, to lay the solid foundation for their recovery and to begin their search for employment. By eliminating the financial blockers associated with moving into one of these homes, we help to guide the individual’s first steps on a safe and stable journey to lasting recovery.

Every little bit makes a difference.

Did you know?

Studies performed by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration revealed that at an 18-Month follow-up of individuals who lived in sober living recovery homes following inpatient substance use disorder treatment showed an improvement in abstinence, an improvement in mental health disorders, and a decrease in criminal justice involvement? We did. We know this, because we’ve witnessed it. We’ve seen the lasting impacts these scholarships have had on the lives of our recipients, and the benefits of sober living environments. You can view some of their “Thank You Notes” right here on this page.

So please, as you consider your donative giving and philanthropic efforts this year, please consider a donation of any amount to the Parents Supporting Parents Scholarship Fund, so that we may continue to help as many people as possible.
