Trevor Dean Maler

Trevor was born in San Diego, California on Sept. 26, 1991. He grew up in Yarmouth, Massachusetts where he played Yarmouth Little League, Babe Ruth, All Stars, Pop Warner football, and was active on numerous bowling leagues winning many titles.

Trevor was a student at Cape Cod Tech then transferred to Dennis Yarmouth HS and graduated in 2010, where he excelled in baseball and football. He will always be remembered as loving, kind-hearted, athletic, hard worker, the best hugger, an always have your back kind of guy, the BEST big brother to his special needs sister Kendra, and now sadly a statistic.

Trevor enjoyed the beach, boating, fishing, golfing, snowboarding, and all New England sports.

He made some bad decisions along the way which led him to the world of drugs. Sadly they took over. He was loved and supported thru his struggles of addiction he fought for years.

Although Trevor wanted a normal life, free from pain and addiction, his demons were stronger than he was. Our hearts will sadly no longer drop every time the phone rings after 9 pm, and no longer worry if he woke up in the morning. Some people will never get to see just how amazing he was. I miss his laughs, smiles, bear hugs and “Mom, can you make me dinner and deliver it”. We miss him terribly as his life ended way too soon, but if a life can be saved, his goal of helping others will carry on. We never thought our worst nightmare would become our reality.

If you have a loved one struggling with addiction, please do not hesitate to contact your local resources.
